UBE cultivates a culture of transparency within its corporate ethos. By attaining the CAC certification for the second consecutive year, the company strives to run its business in accordance with the principles of sustainable corporate governance.

Ubon Bio Ethanol Public Company Limited or UBE, the largest well-integrated tapioca player in the northeast region of Thailand using cassava roots as raw materials, reaffirmed its commitment to combat corruption by renewing its membership with the Thai Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC) for the second consecutive year. This renewal underscores UBE's dedication to conducting business in accordance with the principles of good corporate governance. With a robust business code of conduct that unequivocally opposes all manifestations of corruption, UBE integrates these values into its organizational core values “UBEYOND”, fostering a culture of transparency. With this approach, UBE stands poised to evolve into a sustainable organization across all facets of its operations.

Mr. Suphat Jeensuksaeng, Executive Vice President of Corporate Human Resource and Organization Development of UBE revealed that “UBE and its subsidiaries are dedicated to pioneering sustainable energy and healthy food products on a global scale. Guided by the principles of good corporate governance, we are deeply committed to upholding ethical standards and combating corruption in all its forms. Embedded within UBE's core values is the E=Ethic - signifying a commitment to ethics, exemplified by our business code of ethics and anti-corruption policy. These policies are accompanied by concrete guidelines communicated clearly and consistently to employees at every level of the organization, as well as to stakeholders across various sectors. Moreover, we actively engage in activities aimed at fostering awareness and collaboration among employees to cultivate a transparent organizational culture. Through effective communication, we ensure stakeholders understand and align with our company policies. The renewal of our CAC membership for the second consecutive term serves as validation of UBE's unwavering determination to combat corruption. Moving forward, we will continue to implement various initiatives to expand our transparent business network to partner companies, aspiring to become a CAC Change Agent in accordance with our strategic plan for broader, sustainable growth.

UBE initially obtained its CAC membership certificate in 2017, valid for three years. The decision to renew the certificate was made in 2020, with the second renewal granted in 2023. The renewal process hinges on the presence of a robust risk auditing system and effective control measures tailored to current and potential future risks. Additionally, ongoing and targeted communication on anti-corruption issues to stakeholder groups remains integral to our approach.
