UBE Strengthens Financial Skills among Farmers and Communities through UBE CARE Building Household Financial Resilience and Enhancing Quality of Life across a Sustainable Value Chain

Ubon Bio Ethanol Public Company Limited (UBE) continues to support the development of farmers and communities through its “UBE CARE” initiative. The company organized a financial literacy workshop titled “Understand Money, Plan Wisely, Reduce Debt, and Build a Secure Future” for cassava farmer group leaders and community leaders. The activity aimed to strengthen their financial knowledge and money management skills, enabling them to apply these skills within their households and in managing farmer groups.
Held on September 1, 2026, at Meeting Room 109 at Ubon Bio Ethanol Public Company Limited, the workshop was led by Mr. Dejchana Natee, General Administration and Community Relations Manager, and attended by 51 farmer group and community leaders. The Bank of Thailand’s Northeastern Region Office supported the activity by sharing expertise in financial planning and management.
The workshop focused on practical skills, including budgeting, debt management, financial discipline, and evaluating and selecting appropriate sources of funding. These topics provided participants with a foundation for making informed financial decisions, allocating resources to meet household and livelihood needs, and preparing for economic uncertainty.
Beyond developing participants’ skills, UBE hopes to encourage farmer group and community leaders to share their knowledge with members of their networks. This approach aims to broaden access to financial education and promote sound financial planning within communities, laying the groundwork for greater self-reliance and long-term improvements in quality of life.
UBE believes that business growth is closely connected to the strength of farmers and communities, who are key stakeholders in the company’s value chain. The UBE CARE initiative forms part of the company’s commitment to advancing social sustainability under its ESG approach. By developing people’s capabilities alongside responsible business practices, UBE seeks to help build resilient local economies and foster sustainable growth together.
