UBE Welcomes Nachaluai Commercial Technology College for a Study Visit on Vocational Skills and the Bio-based Industry

Ubon Bio Ethanol Public Company Limited, or “UBE,” recently welcomed a group of 69 students and faculty members from Nachaluai Commercial Technology College for a study visit at its Ethanol Office in Ubon Ratchathani Province. Ms. Tadsanee Boonseub, Corporate Sustainability Management Manager, welcomed the delegation. The visit aimed to support education and vocational skills development among young people through workplace learning, connecting classroom knowledge with practical applications in the bio-based industry.

The visit provided students in automotive technology, electrical power technology, accounting, and digital technology and computing with opportunities to explore how their knowledge can be applied in an industrial setting. Participants attended an overview of UBE’s business and ethanol production process, toured the Integrated Bioenergy Learning Center, and joined a presentation on business practices guided by Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles. These activities helped illustrate the connections between business operations, technology, and social and environmental responsibility.

Mr. Worawut Ponbubpha, Acting Engineering Manager, and Ms. Sunisa Kaewjamjun, Asset Accounting Officer, also shared practical experience in engineering, machinery maintenance, electrical systems, asset management and accounting, as well as the application of digital technology and computers in daily operations. These sessions aimed to help students understand the roles of different professions and use these insights to plan their further education and prepare for future careers.

The activity supported learning beyond the classroom by drawing on the expertise of UBE’s personnel and the company’s learning facilities to share knowledge with young people in collaboration with an educational institution. By broadening students’ career perspectives and encouraging skills development relevant to the workplace, the initiative reflects the social dimension of UBE’s ESG approach through its contribution to human development and educational opportunities.
